Located just outside Manhattan in Oakland, NJ, we blend deep design knowledge with top-tier service and a trusted network of talented vendors and craftsmen.

At Whimsy, we believe your home should be your sanctuary. Just as every client is beautifully unique, so too should be their space. We thoughtfully curate each design using a harmonious mix of new and vintage elements, elevated textures, and personalized details that tell your story.

Meet the Team

Whimsy Interiors is a husband and wife team. They work together to create and bring to life beautiful spaces for our clients and their families to enjoy. From our family to yours.


  • Founder & Principal Designer

    Kristina has been passionate about interior design since childhood. Her biggest inspiration was her grandfather who was a high end upholsterer. She designed her first pieces and he brought them to life. She went on to study interior design at Berkeley college. Graduating in 2007. Starting out in commercial design, designing private jet interiors helped her realize her passion leaned more towards residential interiors. And that’s where she’s been ever since. Her style incorporates a mixture of new and old, textures, and unique pieces that give her clients one of a kind spaces.

    When she’s not designing she is a mom to two kids and 3 dogs. She is also a professional figure skater. A passion since 2 years old.

  • Keeping it in the family, Kristina’s husband Austin helps take care of the business behind the scenes. He also installs window treatments and artwork. Allowing for our full vision to come to life. He is an essential part of Whimsy Interiors and we are lucky to have him on our team.

    He is also owner and head chef of Favale’s Trattoria in Ramsey NJ. A must visit if you’re in the area. His pizza is the best!

    We measure your space and provide our clients with space plans to ensure all products fit and the layout allows flow and functionality.

  • Vision Boards

    In conjunction with the space plans, each project is provided a vision board which allows clients to visualize how finishes and materials work harmoniously together.

  • 3D Renderings

    A realistic rendering of your new space allows you to see how it will look with all the approved finishes and materials.

  • Styling

    Once the project is complete and all furniture is on site, we bring decor and style the space. Adding all the feels to create a space that welcomes you home.

  • Paint & Wallpaper

    We offer hourly Paint & Wallpaper Consultations.

  • Custom Window Treatments

    We design, measure, and select material for beautiful, top quality custom window treatments. Perfectly fit in your space.

  • One of a kind Antique and Vintage Pieces

    We love pieces that tell and story and have history. That fill the home with life and unique, one of a kind details. We offer our clients one of a kind rugs, artwork, trays, books, & more.
